So it’s Tuesday again and you know what that means…Nudie Magazine day!… I mean, new DVD day! (If you don’t get the joke watch Billy Madison). This week, there are not to many great releases so I decided to get Jill one she wanted. Marley & Me. She loved the book, cried at the movie and loves puppies, of course she wanted it the day it came out on DVD.

Marley and Me

But I also got something for myself. Today was the release of Jim Gaffigans new CD/DVD ‘King Baby’. If you have never seen or herd Jim Gaffigan then I feel bad because you don’t know what you are missing. Check out this clip, of his classic Hot Pocket routine:

His newest comedy special deals with more edgy topics such as Bacon, pillows and Waffle House. If you want to see it with out buying it, it’ll be on comedy central again tonight at 10pm. I highly suggest you watch it.

I also took some time today to clean up my desk. After working from home for the past 2 weeks it has gotten a bit messy. Here are the before and After photos.

Before and After I cleaned my desk

Right now, I’m watching a CNBC special entitled ‘Marijuana Inc’. The special examines the importing and selling of marijuana in America, and with California possibly passing a bill to completely legalize marijuana I feel the need to express my opinion.

Note: I DO NOT smoke pot, or do any other sorts of drugs.

I do hope that California passes that bill, and then other state do as well and eventually pot is legalized, and I’m going to explain why. First of all legalizing pot would be a big hit to the ‘war on drugs’. People will have no need to go to shady drug dealers to buy their pot, they could just go to the corner store. The drug dealers and their networks would essentially come to a stand still and shut down.

Secondly the possession of pot could be restricted and managed. It could be treated like alcohol, where you have to be 21 to buy and consume, and harsh laws for driving/working under the influence.

Third, the government would make a lot of money. Legalizing pot means that the government would be able to tax it, and therefor make money off of it (the government loves to make money).

Fourth, it would create jobs. Legalizing pot would mean the need for strict growing and manufacturing, meaning it would need a trained workforce. There would be a need for alot of jobs, people to tend to the plants, pick them, package, transport. It could be such a large market that I believe it could move us out of a rescission.

Finally legalizing pot would save taxpayers a lot of money. The amount of money the government spends on fighting the smuggling and growing of pot would be significantly reduced (if not eliminated). there would be no need for special task forces, or troops.

So there it is, my view on the subject.

I would like you to meet Adam Richman(guy to the right) and he has my dream job.

Adam Richman

A few nights ago I was watching TV with Jill (my girlfriend), when we came across a show on the Travel Channel. Within 10 minutes the first words out of her mouth we’re, Babe, this should be your job” and my response with gritted teeth (from envy) were “I know!”.

I would like you to meet Adam Richman(guy to the right) and he has my dream job.

I know what your asking yourself, ‘is he a super-duper developer for google?, multi-millionaire programming wiz?’, no he is the host of “Man vs. Food” for the Travel Channel. Let me give you a basic premise for the show;

Adam is a regular guy who travels around the country in search of food challenges, which he then attempts (he also vists local favorites in what ever town he is in).

So this guy gets paid to stuff his face just to see if he can complete these gut busting challenges.

The Eagles Deli Callenge

Again. . . He has my dream job. Seriously I could, nay, should be the host of this show. In a recent episode Adam was here in Boston to attempt the Eagle’s deli challenge. ( a 5 lb burger with 3 lbs of fries). A challenge I have also attempted. He didn’t complete it but he did get more then 1/2 way there. That’s all this show requires of its host, and thats all Adam does. Eat, eat and eat. If you know me, and you’ve seen the show you should see the striking recemblences in Adam and I’s personalities.

Here are the 5 Reasons why I should replace Adam;

I love food

I can eat a hell of alot

I’ll eat anything

I’m a funny guy

I love food

And a note for Adam (if by some strange reason he is reading this blog): If your getting board of being host (I don’t know how that could happen), or even looking for a side kick. I AM YOUR GUY. seriously call me up and I’ll be ready to go tonight.

So checkout the show that’ll be my future career Wednesday’s at 10pm on the travel channel.
