Boston Tourist Safari

The first really wonderful weekend in Boston, obviously Jill and I wanted to get out of the city. Why? tourists, that’s why.  They fill the city like hair fills a drain when a balding man takes a shower.  (I don’t know why I made that analogy, it’s filled with pretty bad imagery).  After unsuccessfully finding something we could go do out side the city we decided we’d embrace the tourist season and go on a type of safari.  As we walked through the city we tried to discover as many different types of tourists as possible.

The Imporance of Wearing a Helmet

So I’m not really that big of a safety guy. I run with scissors, handle electronics while wet, don’t wear any sort of padding while skateboarding, rollerblading or biking, ect but most of my life I have worn a helmet while riding my bike. I’ve always been grumpy about wearing my helmet, my mom would yell at me if I didn’t, now my girlfriend yells at me if I don’t. But I will never say another word about wearing my helmet, becuase today it saved my life.

It’s Getting Easy Being Green

Today Jill and I attended D2E (Down 2 Earth) at the Hynes Convention Center.  From the D2E website:
“[D2E] is a marketplace for eco-friendly products, a public stage for community initiatives, and an educational forum that addresses sustainability issues on the minds of us all. D2E emphasizes local and innovative solutions and connects consumers with progressive companies that are investing in a more sustainable future.”
